DoCoMo UI project is the second of the prototype-based product development tool for NTT DoCoMo. Unlike the OnQ that was developed for testing a specific new service, this prototype is designed for more general user interaction test including the new wallet-like application of cell phones. The prototype also included peripheral interaction devices such as the radio transceiver for monetary transactions and various design parameters such as the feedback sound effect and lighting were also user tested integrally along with the software interaction and refined in the same process. The prototype continues to be used by NTT DoCoMo for further development.
